Paul Sweeney The Traditional Hand Painted Signs Artist

Paul Sweeney is a traditional sign writer, mural painter, and menu board writer with over twenty-five years of experience. Graduated from the University of the Arts London in 1996 specializing in Graphic Design. Shortly after graduating, Paul quickly turned his hand to traditional hand painted signs and murals.


Based in North London, his work takes him all over the United Kingdom and further afield, with clients ranging from small independent traders to global brands. Today Paul regularly works on a variety of projects ranging from pub chalkboard writing to large-scale exterior mural paintings. He frequently works with three experienced assistants, each self-employed and each with unique skills.

Alessandro Ioviero has an eye for detail and is responsible for the more intricate monochrome art painting, blackboard writing and hand lettering.


Dominique Zanotto has only just joined the team, yet she has a wealth of experience, working in Italy for over 25 years in theatre set painting, hotel room decoration, etc. She specializes in interior paint effects, specialist plaster and renders effects.


Alessandra Tortone has been on board for almost four years. She is a mural artist normally responsible for painting more colourful mural paintings, nature paintings, kids' bedroom murals, etc.
